Territory

Pietra Pinta is harmoniously nestled in the heart of Cori, a land of rare beauty where ancient history and generous nature come together in perfect harmony. The very name Pietra Pinta evokes the legendary charm of this place, recalling the epic battle between Marius and Sulla in 80 BC, which gave these lands their enduring identity. Here, the vines sink their roots into fertile volcanic soil, nourished by an ideal microclimate and caressed by the gentle breezes of the Mediterranean Sea shimmering on the horizon. This enchanting landscape is further enhanced by an extraordinary artistic heritage: majestic pagan temples, polygonal walls, and centuries-old monuments bear witness to a civilization even older than Rome itself. In this unique terroir, the grandeur of the past and the vitality of the land blend together, offering an authentic sensory experience that celebrates the excellence of Pietra Pinta.

Cultivated Varieties

Our terroir draws its strength from fertile volcanic soils and the mild sea breeze, elements that make every crop flourish and become truly precious. It is on these lands, alongside Nero Buono, Bellone, and Malvasia Puntinata, that the Ferretti family, with the support of the Conegliano Veneto Institute, experimented with around 50 international grape varieties. Some of these varieties are still vinified today and express a unique personality, shaped by their harmonious adaptation to this specific terroir.

Sustainability

Pietra Pinta honors nature through its SQNPI certification, a symbol of harmonious farming that respects the ecosystem. Our approach to sustainability places human values at its heart: we promote an ethical working environment where every collaborator is an integral part of our family. We protect the future by combining the excellence of the fruits of the land with the well-being of people.
